What we do
Sit, chat, and connect with like-minded gents.
Each week, we meditate, tap into our collective wisdom, and nibble on a little content from Marcus Aurelius to Thich Nhat Hanh. Together, we help each other cultivate those essential life skills we all need but probably never learned. From setting boundaries to following up on our goals to holding the pose through life's vicissitudes.
Dive deeper into meditation in a way that feels relevant and approachable. Explore how to show up in your life in a way that is strong, grounded, and vulnerable. Be in a space where you can share literally anything with a group of like-minded guys. It's all possible.
Come hang.

It really allowed us to explore ideas and concepts that don’t get brought up in day-to-day life and in a very constructive way. I like the guided mediation/topic of the week/breakout group format. I found our conversations went where they needed to go, while the weekly theme gave us a good guidepost so we didn’t get lost.

Men’s Group is a space where I can connect with other men in a way that helps me be more empathetic, receive meaningful support, and learn how to deal with life’s challenges. Michael has adeptly facilitated Men’s Group by guiding meditation, experimenting with different formats, choosing meaningful discussion topics, and making everyone feel welcome by providing space to let people express themselves authentically.

Mens Circle has been come a central point of stability and support in my life. When I started attending Mens's circle, I was encouraged to open up, let go of my anxieties, and really communicate my inner thoughts to a group of men I had never met. I feel more secure as a person, more confident in my ability to give advice, love, and support, and more capable to handle difficult situations when they arise.

I create the container, you do the rest
I grew up in Denver, Colorado with a love for the great outdoors and getting kicked out of high school theology class for asking too many questions. In college, I fell into a deep depression and started searching for something more.

Fast forward through monasteries in the Himalayas, ski bumming in Aspen, teaching meditation in juvenile detention facilities, and the San Francisco tech world, I realized that I–like so many other men–was trying to fill his life with external gratification to compensate for a deep-rooted fear that I’d never be enough.

Then, I got introduced to men’s groups. I started learning how not alone I was in the way I thought, felt, and wanted to move through the world. So, I combined over two decades of meditation practice (200+ days of intensive retreat), with a life-long passion for unpacking masculinity, and a sincere wish for all guys to have a place where every part of them belonged. I started running Men's Circles. Part meditation, part skill building, part jam session, he facilitates groups of guys who want to get real with one another, stand shoulder to shoulder, and face life’s challenges together.
