AI-Generated Onboarding
Accelerating user insight through rapid AI prototyping with Loveable.dev, Claude, and Chat GPT

Role
As an independent Product Design contractor, I partnered directly with Superinterviews’ CEO and CPO to redesign the onboarding experience with a focus on increasing conversion at the paywall. I proposed a “show, don’t tell” strategy, allowing users to experience product value by interacting with an AI coach before purchase. I led concept development, prototyped multiple onboarding flows using Loveable’s generative AI tools, and ran user tests to validate which flows best built trust and motivated conversion.

Results
-
Reduced time from concept to user feedback by 60% using Loveable prototypes
-
Identified a more effective “show, don’t tell” onboarding approach in a 24 hours sprint
-
Let users interact with the AI guide, practice a sample interview question, before the paywall
-
Delivered a validated onboarding flow that made the product’s value tangible and compelling, leading to higher conversion intent
Goal
Increase conversion at the Superinterviews paywall by helping users experience the product’s value up front, before making a purchase decision.
The Challenge
Superintervies, an AI-based interview prep platfrom, wasn't converting users because the value proposition was not clear. Traditional onboarding explained the features but didn’t let users experience them. We needed a fast way to prototype and test an interactive onboarding flow that demonstrated value before asking for payment.
Prorotyping & UXR testing
Using Loveable.dev, Claude, and Chat GPT, we rapidly prototyped multiple onboarding flows where users could:
-
Meet the AI interview coach
-
Answer a sample interview question and skill-based learning
-
Preview their feedback dashboard (normally behind the paywall)
We tested these flows with remote participants using UserBrain to evaluate comprehension, delight, and intent to continue.
Results
Users responded strongly to the experiential flow. The sample interaction built trust in the AI coach and helped them understand the product’s purpose and quality. By showing—not telling—how Superinterviews worked, we aligned expectations and motivated conversion.
This “try before you buy” model proved more effective than explanatory walkthroughs, and we reached a validated direction 5x faster than traditional design sprints.
